Any Pokemon lovers? I was a teenager when the original Pokemon games and cards were released, and I'm pretty excited to see Pokemon making a comeback. Godric decided he wanted to make a Pokeball. After a couple of failed attempts with concrete, I gave up and tried paper machet! And it worked!

Supplies Supplies listed below may include affiliate links to the products.

  • Paper Mache paste, cooled enough to touch (see recipe below)
  • Balloons
  • Scissors
  • Newspaper
  • Construction paper: Black, White, Red
  • Optional: Pokemon Toy (This Dragonite toy is the one pictured in the photos/video)

Paper Mache Recipe

Mix 1 cup cornstarch with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 cup of water. I used a hand mixer to mix. Bring 6 cups of water to a full boil, then add to cornstarch mixture, mixing thoroughly.

Once cool enough to touch, you can use this for your paper mache. Mine was still warm.
