A Simple Makeover for a $10 Coffee Table

Sharing is caring!

A Simple Makeover for a $10 Coffee TableI picked up an old coffee table for $10 recently and I wanted to redo it for our office area downstairs. I love the storage area inside the middle, as well as the open areas along the side.

I don’t think this is completely “real” wood. But distressing it still worked, thank goodness. I love the after look and it works well in our basement.

My process? A little paint, sanding to distress, adding on stain, and wiping it off, then I used poly to protect it. I also spray painted the hardware and the inside of the storage area with black spray paint. I’ll link a video in the bottom to show how I do this in more detail.
