{Throw Back Thursday} Sensory Play with Bingo Chips

{Throw Back Thursday} Sensory Play with Bingo Chips In June 2013 I wrote a blog post titled "Another Fun Indoor Toddler Activity" about how much my
oldest son (who was maybe 1.5 yr old at the time) was enjoying the bingo chips and wands that I picked up for him. I figured I'd give you an update of where we are now.

My oldest, G,  still loves them at 3.5 years old, except we're able to talk science more in regard to how they work. Nothing fancy, but I like to have him go around and test items in the house to see if they're magnetic. He really enjoys this.

My youngest son, K, is 1.5 years old and LOVES them.  I upcycled some glass jars to make a better container for these and it works great.

My favorite part about these is cleanup is fairly easy with the magnetic wands. You can swipe them over the magnets and it picks them all up, then you just put them back in your jar. Very simple.

I bought a couple sets with wands, then also purchased a separate bag of just the chips later on. These make great Christmas stocking stuffers or they could go in an Easter basket.

The big thing with these is making sure that they don't go into anybody's mouth because they're obviously a choking hazard. So we closely supervise them when we play with these and make sure they all get picked up.

Here's a video of my kids playing with them:

If you're interested in picking some of these up, Amazon has a lot of options... listed below are some affiliate links to the products on Amazon. I tried to pick options that are available on Prime. If you purchase via these links, you help support my blog. Thank you!
