Water Beads for a Fun Sensory Activity

Using water beads for fun sensory play with toddlers.
Some of my friends have been getting water beads for their toddlers to play with as a sensory activity and I decided it was worth a try with Baby G, seeing he REALLY enjoys every other sensory activity we try. They were a HUGE hit. It was probably a mistake to show them to him a half hour before bedtime, he was not happy with us when we told him it was night night time.

And also- the price is GREAT for this level of entertainment.

The important thing is to make sure you supervise your toddler with these because they're not edible and you're supposed to keep them out of reach of children. I've heard you may be able to find some that are safe for kids, but it was hard to tell reading online what was safe or not. I think that these could be appreciated by anyone of any age so hey... if you have an older kid or you want to enjoy them as an adult, have at it!

I've also heard these are available at the Dollar Store.

These are the instructions from ours. They specify to keep out of reach of children and to not consume them. I made sure Baby G was supervised with them and did not eat them as a result, although I've heard there's some that you can get that are okay for kids (or maybe they just don't specify the obvious).

This it the package I got in the mail. I ordered two bags thinking I'd need them. Wrong.
A TABLESPOON out of this bag soaked in 8 courts of water made this many. That's crazy!
Some pieces can be popped and this is what they look like.
