We have become masters at improvising in our household because Baby G hasn't been particularly easy, and the sleep deprivation and physical exhaustion have broken down our Type A personalities into a much milder form (you're wondering how bad I was before huh?). Needless to say we often find items or tricks accidentally that somehow "work" for Baby G. We have stopped buying expensive items hoping that they'll work...
Half the time it's just accidental when we find something that works... and usually anything that works will only work for approximately 1-5 trials before it no longer works again (ie. Chamomile tea worked about 2x). It keeps us on our toes... we're going to be amazing at "thinking outside of the box." Yeah. That's what I keep telling myself.

This evening I was putting Baby G to bed and I grabbed my water bottle beforehand as I was thirsty. I nursed him then shifted him into his crib- he woke up, as usual, and started crying. As I contemplated the upcoming Battle of the Bedtime, I was finishing off my water when I noticed him eyeballing my bottle. Whatever right? Here hold my water bottle if you want. He lays down in the crib with the water bottle, snuggles up to it, and goes to sleep. Heh. Improvising. Maybe when this doesn't work tomorrow I can fill it with hot water... remember those old hot water pad things that you'd fill with hot water to snuggle? Do they still make those? I remember loving ours.

I keep hoping that in my efforts to find the magical thing that helps Baby G sleep that I'll develop an awesome new baby sleep technique and make beaucoup money off books and video seminars. But all I really have is a fun meme that I made using the Meme Design app on my iPhone...

In other news, apologies for the lack of crafty posts... does the meme count as crafty? Looking forward to moving someday and having my craft area back!
