DIY Man Cave Sign

How to make an easy sign for decor in a man cave. This would make a great Father’s Day gift!

My husband doesn’t exactly have a man “cave” but rather a man corner. Regardless, he has his DIY arcade machine in that area of our basement, as well as his kegerator. We are pretty spoiled.

I wanted to decorate that area so I made a mug rack for some durable beer mugs and then this sign for above that. I LOVE how it came out. Both of these projects would be awesome for Father’s Day gifts!

Supplies

Silhouette Cameo and 651 vinyl
My free printable (get it at the bottom of the post by signing up for the newsletter!)
Scrap wood
Command strips (I used small ones but they didn’t hold well so I’d use medium or large, depending on how heavy your wood scrap is)
Paint, I used spray paint
Transfer paper for the vinyl
Chalk (optional)

DIY Beer Sign

This is a very simple project. I used scrap wood for both this and my childrens’ bathroom sign. For a really neat finish that brings out the texture of the wood, you can use chalk (sidewalk chalk works) and color the entire board. Then spray paint over it. You’ll want to seal it after if you use chalk. I used the chalk for the bathroom sign but no chalk for this sign- you can see the difference.

Once you finish painting, you can add your Silhouette image and add command strips to hang it. I like using command strips because they don’t make holes in the wall.
