Dyeing fabric with snow!We FINALLY got a decent amount of snow and I managed to steal some time to snow dye these white shirts that I've had forever. I was very excited about snow this year because I had a laundry list of fun blog ideas. You should check out the snow fort that I built with balloons!

I tried ice dyeing in a past post and thought it was fun as well. It's just that snow is a lot easier and faster to collect than stealing all the ice from the freezer.

For this project, I had mixed results. As you can see on the right, the yellow shirt was next to the red shirt... and the dye seeped over. Whoops. Besides that shirt, I like how they turned out. I've seen a lot of people dye black and white fabric and it looks FABULOUS. I'm still too nervous to dye my expensive fabric though.

And this set of dyes (affiliate link):

I didn't have the recommended items to set the dye after finding, but I don't believe I set it when I did ice dyeing so I decided to attempt to finish it without that step. Instead I threw four of the Shout Color Catchers  (affiliate link below to product) into the wash with the dyed shirts (after 24 hours and rinsing them) for quick cycle on hot. Then I transferred them into the dryer on hot.

Here's some more that I did... top left picture is some white fabric that I had:
