I received a laminator for Christmas so I figured I'd put it to work. The first items I worked on was some more train tickets because ours ended up ripping after extensive use. I made some new ones to replace the ones that were ripped and I laminated a couple than I managed to salvage from the wreckage. We use tickets a lot at home in our pretend play.

This is the laminator that my husband got me and it goes on sale here and there which is nice. It's a good idea to pick up some pouches as well because this came with only two pouches which STINKS when you're just so excited to get going on projects. I use 5 mil for thicker items and 3 mil for regular paper.

I didn't have any more of the scrapbook paper that I used on my first train tickets so I made these new tickets pretty plain. These were on regular paper so I used 3 mil pockets.

Here's the two I managed to salvage on the left. I'm hoping laminating things will help reduce the damage they can do! On the right, I laminated a picture of my sons for my oldest to keep.  I used 5 mil for these three items.

These laminators are just so cool and very useful when you've got younger kids who tends to eat paper or be rough on paper items.

I'm sure there will be many many many more laminating projects coming soon.  Right now I'm working on two more posts about learning on the go that use a laminator.
