The birthday boy in his outfit! I didn't do as much as I did last year with our Dr. Seuss Party , given my current exhaustion level ...

To the left is our spunky two year old in his birthday outfit that I made/embroidered for him.
Grandpa and Grandma P and his Aunty Paige came to visit. They brought some pretty awesome birthday gifts like this Thomas the Train roller coaster.
Here he is playing with it! He was a huge fan and I liked this one better than some of the other versions I've seen that are a bit higher up. It's also somewhat shorter from what other people were telling me which is nice because it really works well as an indoor toy if you have some extra floor space.
He also got a big basketball ball pit from them which is lots of fun, although I apparently don't have any good pictures of the whole thing. It was a huge hit with the kids at the party though and we've got it in our basement now for G to play in during the day. The nice thing is we've got a separate container for the balls and the whole thing deflates for storage if we want to cycle it out with other toys to keep it "fresh" and to keep from cluttering the playroom too much. Our playroom is insane.
Our big gift for G this birthday was this fun Plasma Car... he really enjoys it and the best part is that he hasn't quite figured out that he doesn't NEED to use his legs to move it. Which isn't a bad thing because he likes to ride up and down the hall and I'm sure he's burning off some serious energy that way. Yay.
We bought a large sheet cake from Costco ($17.99) which was super tasty- although we have TONS leftover (good bye self control). We also bought some mini cupcakes from the regular grocery store which are the PERFECT size (and sugar content) for little fingers.
Food! I made buffalo chicken dip in the crockpot, meatballs in the crockpot, bought some hot dog rolls for the meatballs, cut up two trays of fruit (cantaloupe, strawberries, oranges, and grapes), Olive Garden salad (made it ourself), and cut up meats and cheeses. Outdoors we put a bucket of ice, some juice boxes, a couple things of soda, and a pitcher of lemonade.
Here's a family picture after the party. I'm not really a giant compared to my husband,I assume it was how the photo was taken. Haha. We had a good laugh though.
