I signed up for Amazon Mom back when I was pregnant with Baby G and now I order almost everything ...
New members of Amazon Mom get a free 3-month trial membership. The membership includes free 2 day shipping which is really the best part of the membership. When you have kids, it's about that long before you can work up the energy to go to the store anyways so it's so much nicer to just have it show up on your doorstep. I do a lot of shopping via my iPhone Amazon application while I nurse or when G is playing independently or when I sneak off to the bathroom (admit it! you do it too!). Super easy and I can read reviews that way to find the best products.
The other thing I love about Amazon.com is the wish lists... I keep a wish list for G so I can keep track of toys he likes. When we're at the store or a play date and I notice he really likes a particular toy or book, I add it to his list. Then once it's birthday or Christmas time, I can offer family suggestions or get the items for him myself. I also keep a private shopping list to keep track of things I want or that Daddy B has mentioned wanting. It's realllllllly nice. I was keeping a separate list on my computer before, but this is a lot easier.
I decided to surprise Daddy B with this board game as a gift the other day and it was on my doorstep in one day... yay. I wasn't expecting to get it THAT fast.
Amazon Mom is open to anyone, whether you're a Mom, Dad, caregiver, grandparent, etc.
We were enrolled under Amazon Mom and then after under Amazon Student, but once they expire (which is probably soon) we're going to enroll for the paid subscription. I'm excited to get the free Kindle book and the Prime streaming movies that come with the paid membership.
